Next stop Amsterdam… then Cape Town
And so begins our trip with the Wabash Pastoral Leadership Program. We’re flying to South Africa today for a pilgrimage of pain and hope. We’ll be spending the next two weeks meeting with friends in Cape Town and Johannesburg. We will meet with pastors, leaders, and ministers who will share with us stories of struggle and violence, redemption and hope for the future. From our preparatory meetings and reading, I know that even though apartheid rule is gone, a great economic injustice still riddles the country.
